Superman versus The Elite was a SERIOUSLY good film. It added so much gravitas and poignancy to a character that’s always been maligned for being “too vanilla”. We got to see the true extent of Superman’s power and know now that he has all the potential in the world to end it, but chooses rather to save it with dignity and humility,
Funnily enough, I actually prefer the animated design of Manchester Black over his original comic appearance in the What’s So Funny About Truth, Justice & the American Way? series. He just looks more like a punk and actually even more threatening than the buzzcut-toting football-hooligan that he is in the comics. (Plus, now you know where my avatar came from) -
